Cancellations and Missed Appointments
Should you need to cancel an appointment you have made with us, please provide us with at least 24 hours’ notice. This will enable us to offer your appointment slot to one of our other patients.
Please be aware that should you miss your appointment or fail to cancel with at least 24 hours’ notice, you may have to wait several weeks before we could see you again. Please also be aware that there will be a charge of Euro 50 per missed appointment.
In some cases where a patient has a history of failing to attend or cancelling less than 24 hours ahead of their appointment, a deposit will be required to secure any future appointments. The deposit amount can vary depending on the type of the treatment/appointment length and is redeemable against their appointment.
Access
The practice is located up two flights of stairs and therefore is not wheelchair accessible.
Payment
Payment for treatment can be made by cash or most major credit cards and will be due after each appointment. We do not offer treatment under the medical card scheme. We do offer treatment under the PRSI Scheme and if you would like to avail of this, you need to know your PPS number and date of birth. We will check your eligibility if you consent to us doing so on the day that you attend for your appointment.
Our Service
We hope that you will be entirely satisfied with both the dental treatment and service you receive from us. If, for any reason, you are not happy then please contact any member of staff in the first instance. Jacqueline O’Brien Dental takes all complaints seriously and will ensure that any are handled in accordance with its complaints procedure.
Confidentiality
Strict confidentiality is maintained at all times. Any information you provide us with, including sensitive data, will be dealt in accordance with the Data Protection (Amendment) Act 2003.
Respect
We believe everyone should be treated with respect. We will not tolerate abusive or violent behaviour towards our staff or patients. Anyone suspected of such will be removed from our lists.
